All India Council of Technical Education has begun Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) 2017 application from October 10, 2016. Candidates seeking admissions to M. Pharm programmes can apply in online mode till December 10, 2016.

The exam will be conducted in single session on January 28 and January 29 is a reserved day i.e. if the exam is not conducted on January 28 then it will be held on January 29.
Candidates applying for GPAT 2017 must fulfill eligibility criteria of GPAT 2017 as mentioned by AICTE. Candidates need to have bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy as per 10+2+4 pattern. Candidates can check here how to apply for GPAT 2017 as mentioned here –

After successful registration, candidates will be provided Login ID and Password
Candidates need to remit application fee for GPAT 2017 either in online mode or offline mode
Once the application fee has been remitted, candidates can proceed to fill in the application form of GPAT 2017
Candidates can submit the application form of GPAT 2017 in online mode only and get print copy of the same for future references
GPAT 2017 comprises of 125 objective type questions carrying 4 marks each and for each wrong response, one mark will be deducted from the total score. Candidates can take trial test for GPAT 2017, which will be available from December 15, 2016 so as to make candidates familiar with the computer based test mode.
Through GPAT 2017 admissions to as many as 24096 M. Pharm seat are offered at more than 841 colleges.

GPAT is a national level entrance exam which is held for Pharmacy graduates so that they can get admission to M.Pharmacy program. It is conducted once in a year.
AICTE Conducts this exam that is AICTE is the conducting body of GPAT exam.
It is a three hour duration computer based test.
To apply for this exam one has to fulfill few eligibility criteria which are as follows-
A student must have Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry candidates).
Students who are in the final year of B.Pharmacy are also eligible to appear in GPAT.
Note- Applicant must be a citizen of India.
yes you can apply for gpat exam which is the gate way of m.pharma course in top institute in india. however during the m.pharma admission process you need to show your clear mark sheets and if that time you have any current back logs you cannot take admission. if you clear the back log before admission process , then it will be fine.

GPAT aspirants should focus on the five main papers namely Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Pharm Analysis and Pharmaceutical chemistry with special emphasis on organic chemistry. Few questions are being asked from Jurisprudence, Microbiology and Biochemistry.
