sir, Im in my second year of pharmacy can I give gpat(2021) exam on my third year and attend niper(2022) in 4th year

Sharon Rose Student Expert 10th Feb, 2020
Hello,

No, you are not eligible to appear in GPAT while you are still in 3rd year of your B.Pharmacy. A candidate must have passed 4 year B.Pharmacy to be eligible to appear in GPAT.So you will be eligible in 2021 to appear in GPAT.And you are eligible to appear in NIPER JEE in 2021 the eligibility criteria to appear is that a candidate must have passed bachelor's degree with atleast 60% aggregate or 6.75 CGPA on a scale of 10.You need to have valid GPAT/GATE/NET score to get seat through NIPER JEE.

So you are eligible to appear in GPAT and NIPER JEE in 2021.

I qualified GPAT IN 3 RD YEAR(2019)...and i didnt qualified in 4 TH YEAR(2020).Am i eligible to write NIPER?

Akram Khan 6th Feb, 2020

Hi,

The minimum educational eligiblity for GPAT exam is -

4 year course in Pharmacy after 10+2 from a recognized university or

Final year students of B.Pharm are also eligible to apply, provided that their result should be declared before admission to 2020-2021 session commences

So if even if one qualified the GPAT exam in 3rd year the result will not be valid because it was not the final year of graduation.

Hope this helps.

sir is it necessary to qualify gpat exam to give niper jee 2020 exam plz clearify because i have not cleared the gpat cutoff .plz rply

Shareef 2nd Feb, 2020

Hello,

.

Please look out the Eligiblity criteria for NIPMER,

  • Must hold masters degree in particular stream according to the course you want to choose
  • Must have atleast 60%
  • Must have a valid score in GPAT/GATE/NET

.

So,yes your gpat score should be valid and you need to show it during PI/GD level. You need to qualify in GPAT or GATE or NET  to be eligible for NIPER JEE. This clause is not mandatory only if you are a Foreign National or if you  have a MBBS/BAMS/B.V.Sc degree or you are a sponsored candidate from Government departments or you are a NRI. If you do not fall in any of these conditions, then qualifying in GPAT is necessary or you cannot attend NIPER JEE.
