Highlights: National Testing Agency has released GPAT Application Form.

GPAT 2019 -  The National Testing Agency (NTA) released Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test / GPAT application form 2019 on November 1, 2018. Candidates can click the link given below to fill the online GPAT 2019 application form. The last date to submit the GPAT application form 2019 is November 30, 2018. GPAT 2019 online exam will be conducted on January 28. Candidates will be able to access the GPAT 2019 admit card from January 7 while the result will be announced on February 10, 2019. GPAT is a national level entrance test which is the gateway to M. Pharm programmes. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) conducted GPAT every year as per the directions of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. However, GPAT 2019 onwards, this examination will be organised by NTA.

GPAT Eligibility Criteria 2019

NTA has prescribed the eligibility criteria for appearing in GPAT 2019. It can be checked below:

  • Applicant must be an Indian citizen.

  • Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry candidates).

  • B.Pharm. programme final year candidates can also apply to appear in GPAT 2019.

Note: B.Tech (Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology)/equivalent students are not eligible to appear for GPAT 2019.

GPAT Application Form 2019 

GPAT 2019 registration is now open in online mode. Eligible aspirants can submit the online GPAT application form till November 30, 2018.

 Applicants can choose to make payment of the GPAT 2019 application fee via any of the following two modes-

GPAT Admit Card 2019 

NTA will release the admit card of GPAT 2019 in online mode on January 7. Only those candidates will be able to download GPAT 2019 admit card whose application is accepted. They will be required to enter their application form number and date of birth/ password. The details of the exam, test centre and candidature will be mentioned on the hall ticket. After downloading it, applicants must cross-check all the details, and bring it to the notice of officials in case of any discrepancy. No candidate will be allowed to appear in the entrance test without a valid GPAT 2019 hall ticket.

In order to prepare for GPAT 2019, candidates should know the syllabus and exam pattern.

Questions will be asked from the GPAT 2019 syllabus that is prescribed by the NTA. The syllabus of GPAT 2019 mentions the subjects and their topics from which questions are asked for the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test.

GPAT Mock Test 2019

NTA has established Test Practice Centres (TPCs) all over India for aspiring candidates, especially those living in rural regions to familiarize themselves with the online mode of GPAT 2019. Students can visit these TPCs, and practice and train themselves free of cost. The experienced, qualified and professional Nodal officer and staff will be available to help and motivate the students, clear their doubts and solve their problems. The official website of NTA will release GPAT mock test 2019 soon to further enhance candidates' preparation.

GPAT Question Papers 2019

Candidates must ensure that they practice thoroughly from GPAT 2019 question papers to be well versed with the paper pattern. Practising from GPAT question papers of previous years will also boost their time management skills. Moreover, candidates will know their level of preparation and work harder on their weaknesses.

GPAT Answer Key 2019

NTA will not release any GPAT 2019 answer key as this will be a computer based entrance exam. Careers360 will bring you the GPAT answer keys 2019 in case these are issued by the exam conducting body.

GPAT Result 2019

 NTA, the exam conducting agency, will declare the result of GPAT 2019 on February 10. Merit list and score card will also be released on the same day. GPAT 2019 result can be checked by entering roll number. Rank, qualifying status and score can be checked from this.

Note: The score card will be issued to the candidates.

GPAT Score Card 2019

Candidates can view the score card of GPAT 2019 after February 10. They will have to enter e-mail ID and password at ‘view score card’ panel to check GPAT 2019 scores. GPAT 2019 score card will be valid for only three years to obtain scholarship in Masters in Pharmacy programme. If a candidate is interested in pursuing PhD programme in Pharmacy, the score card will be valid for another one year for availing National Doctoral Scholarship. In 2016, a total of 2,711 candidates were qualified, and as many as 26,323 did not qualify for the PG scholarships.

GPAT Cutoff 2019

 Cutoff of GPAT 2019 is the criteria for shortlisting candidates for offering admissions to Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharmacy). NTA determines the GPAT 2019 cutoff, which is the minimum qualifying score required for admissions. Aspirants can check below the minimum qualifying criteria for each category (admissions 2018):

GPAT Counselling 2019

Counselling of GPAT 2019 is expected to commence from February at the respective participating institutes. Eligible and qualified candidates will be able to participate in the GPAT 2019 counselling, which will be conducted after the declaration of result and All India merit list. The counselling procedure will be conducted by individual participating institutes across India.

GPAT Participating Institutes 2019

 NTA will conduct GPAT 2019 for offering admissions to as many as 841 colleges. These participating institutes of GPAT 2019 will accept the scores of the aptitude test and offer admission in postgraduate courses of pharmacy programme.

GPAT FAQs 2019

Following are some of the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) regarding GPAT 2019:

Question- Can a candidate take the entrance test from any computer?

 Answer- No, the candidate has to take the test on a pre-assigned computer at the allotted GPAT 2019 exam centre only.

Question- What does a Computer Based Test (CBT) look like?

Answer- NTA is expected to provide GPAT trial test facility for test-takers to familiarise themselves with the Computer Based Test. The trial test will be available from October onwards.

Question- How many questions will be there in GPAT 2019?

 Answer- GPAT 2019 will comprise a total of 125 objective type questions carrying four marks each.

Question- Will there be negative marking in the entrance exam?

Answer- Yes. In case of a wrong attempt, one mark will be deducted from the total marks obtained.

Question- Is there any age restriction for appearing in GPAT 2019?

Answer- No, there is no age restriction for appearing in the aptitude test.
