GPAT 2020 - The National Testing Agency (NTA) is the conducting body for Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test- GPAT 2020. NTA has released exam dates for GPAT 2020 wherein the entrance exam for M. Pharm admissions will be conducted on January 24, 2020. The application forms for GPAT 2020 will be released on November 1, which the eligible candidates have to fill for appearing in the entrance examination before November 30, 2019. Candidates will be required to upload certain documents and pay the requisite fee. GPAT 2020, a national level entrance examination, is going to be conducted for admission to Master in Pharmacy (M. Pharm) or equivalent programmes. Admit cards for the exam will be released online on December 24, 2019 and the result is scheduled to be declared on February 3, 2020. More than 800 participating institutes and all AICTE approved institutes and universities will accept GPAT 2020 score. Till 2018, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) used to conduct the GPAT exam, but since 2019, NTA took over the charge for conducting GPAT examination. 42827 candidates were registered in 2019 session, out of which, 40649 candidates appeared and a total of 4119 candidates qualified in GPAT 2019. The criteria of eligibility for GPAT 2020 is the minimum requisite that a candidate should fulfill in order to appear for GPAT 2020. The main points to be noted for GPAT 2020 eligibility are:
Candidates with a degree in B.Tech (Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology) are not to be considered eligible.
It may be noted that eligibility is to be ensured by the candidate only because NTA will carry forward the application process and the examination based on performing the formalities before last date. So, if a candidate not eligible as per above-mentioned requirements fills the application form and pays the requisite fee, he/ she can appear for GPAT. This does not at all ensure the minimum requisites for admission to academic year 2020-2021.
Candidates of GPAT 2020 will be able to apply in online mode only. The registrations for GPAT 2020 shall commence on November 1, 2019. Candidates will be required to fill the same and pay the requisite fee before last date, i.e. November 30 as specified by the authorities. Only one application form will be allowed for a candidate as multiple applications by a single candidate are supposed to be rejected.

The GPAT 2020 exam will be conducted at various examination centres across India. While filling the application form, candidates will be required to select any four cities according to their preference from most preferred towards the least. NTA will release the admit card for GPAT 2020 in online mode on December 24, 2019. Those candidates whose applications get accepted will be able to download their admit card and appear for GPAT 2020. How to download GPAT 2020 admit card?
GPAT 2020 Exam Pattern provides for the details regarding examination which a candidate should be known of in order to prepare well. GPAT 2020 will be a computer-based online examination with multiple choice questions, conducted in a single session of three hours. After conduct of GPAT 2020 examination, answer key and recorded candidate responses are shared on the official website of NTA which is open for challenge within a specified period. The candidates of GPAT 2020 will be able to have a better idea of their performance in the exam and the expected result. Those who are not satisfied with the answers displayed in the answer key will have the option to challenge through online application form. Processing fee for making challenges is Rs 1000 per question. The fee charged for challenging the answer key will be refunded only in case challenge comes out to be correct. No further challenges will be made against the answer key once the result is declared.
How to calculate GPAT 2019 score?
After comparing answers with the help of GPAT 2020 answer key, candidates should know how to estimate a rough figure of their score. Follow the steps below to know how to calculate your probable GPAT score 2020:
Use the official marking scheme of GPAT 2020 to calculate the score. According to the GPAT 2020 marking scheme, candidates will be rewarded 4 marks for every correct answer while every incorrect response will deduct one mark.
GPAT 2020 score = (4 x Number of correct responses) - (1 x Number of incorrect responses)
The GPAT 2020 result will be declared in online mode following the answer key on February 3, 2020. Candidates will have to use their login credentials (application number and password or date of birth) for accessing their GPAT result. They will be able to check their rank, qualifying status and score obtained out of maximum marks. This score is accepted at all AICTE approved colleges, institutes and universities. The result will be followed by the final answer key and GPAT 2020 merit list. In 2019, the GPAT exam was conducted on January 28 and result was declared on February 8, 2019. The GPAT 2020 result will be followed by the final answer key and merit list. All India merit list will mention the order of ranks secured by candidates based on their score in the exam. The GPAT 2020 merit list will mention candidate’s name, roll number, category, score, rank, percentile and qualifying status. In GPAT 2019, the merit list was uploaded on the same day when the result was declared, i.e. February 6, 2019. Total candidates who qualified in GPAT 2019 were 4119 out of 40649 candidates who appeared for the exam. The GPAT ranking depicts that if two candidates score equal marks, they're allotted the same rank and then the next rank is numbered according to the number of previous rank holders skipping the very next rank.

GPAT 2020 cutoff is the minimum score required for admission to Masters in Pharmacy. Category wise cutoff marks will be released by each participating institute separately. It will be based upon seats available, difficulty level of exam and the number of candidates who appear and pass in GPAT 2020. Appearing candidates will be shortlisted by participating institutes on the basis of cutoff marks only.
