On Question asked by student community

Have a question related to GPAT ?

GPAT scores are definitely considered for admission to MPharm courses, including in Government College of Pharmacy, Bengaluru. In fact, GPAT is the main qualifying exam for most government colleges because GPAT-qualified candidates are given preference in seats, scholarships and stipends.

As for the minimum score, there is no fixed cutoff that remains the same every year. It changes depending on the number of applicants, seat availability and category. But based on previous admission trends, students getting into Government College of Pharmacy, Bengaluru usually have GPAT scores that fall close to or above the GPAT qualifying marks. For general category, the safe score is usually somewhere around 140 to 160 or higher, but in some years competition increases and even higher scores are seen. For OBC and other reserved categories, the safe score is slightly lower, but still close to the qualifying range.

If your GPAT score is comfortably above the qualifying cutoff for your category, your chances improve. However, final admissions depend on rank, counselling rounds and seat matrix for that year. In short, yes, GPAT is required, and aiming for a score well above the qualifying marks gives you a better chance of getting a PG seat in this college.

Hello,
If you have completed your master’s in pharmaceutics from a private university in first division but have not gained work experience yet, you can still apply for jobs in the pharmaceutical industry. Focus on entry-level positions, research assistant roles, or internships to build practical experience. Highlight your academic performance, projects, and any relevant skills in your resume. Gaining some hands-on experience will improve your chances of getting better opportunities in the future.
Hope this helps you.

Hello Sahil,
