To get admission in the M.Pharm program at Jadavpur University, you need to have a valid GPAT score. The university gives preference to GPAT-qualified candidates, and non-GPAT applicants are generally not considered for regular seats. Based on previous years’ trends, you should aim for an All India Rank within the top 1500 to 2000 to stay competitive, especially for branches like Pharmaceutics or Pharmacology that are in higher demand.

For the General category, this usually means scoring above the 85th percentile in GPAT. If you're from a reserved category, there might be some relaxation, but having a strong rank will still improve your chances. Along with GPAT, your B.Pharm academic performance also matters—Jadavpur University generally requires at least 55 percent aggregate in your bachelor's degree to be eligible.

The GPAT, or Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test, serves as a primary gateway for admission to M.Pharm programs and is also crucial for securing fellowships such as NIPER JEE and the AICTE PG Scholarships.

When discussing the “merit score” in GPAT, it typically refers to the minimum score or percentile candidates need to achieve to be considered for admission to top institutions or to qualify for specific scholarships. Essentially, it’s a benchmark—those who meet or exceed it are eligible for further consideration.

To provide clarity, here are the recent trends regarding merit scores across different categories:

- General / EWS:A score in the range of 140 to 160 is usually necessary, placing candidates within the top 10–15% (up to approximately 5,000th rank).

- OBC:Applicants generally need to score between 120 and 140, which corresponds to ranks up to around 8,000.

- SC/ST: For these categories, a score between 90 and 115 is typically sufficient, extending eligibility up to the 15,000th rank.

- PwD: Candidates in this category often qualify with scores between 75 and 100, covering ranks up to 20,000.

It is important to note that these figures are approximate and may vary slightly each year, depending on the overall performance of candidates and the number of available seats. Achieving a score at or above the merit threshold enhances one’s prospects for admission and scholarships, but higher scores often translate to broader opportunities and greater flexibility in college selection.

NPAT is divided into three major sections.

- Quantitative Reasoning: Here, you will take questions that involve numbers and different problems are included.

Percentages, computing profit and loss, discounts as well as their differences, time or work needed to complete a job, distances, dealing with ratios and proportions, figures on simple and compound interest, and annuities.

- Algebra: identifying important algebraic identities, equations, sequence, and series

- Geometry looks at shapes, their areas and their volumes in two and three dimensions.

Subjects such as Statistics and Probability include mean, median, mode, and measures of dispersion.

It looks at your critical thinking and data analysis skills in verbal-logical reasoning and topics like:

It is important to look at problems and come to decisions with critical thinking.

A study of figure analogy, figure series, and figure matching/classification is important for spatial reasoning.

- Use of graphs, charts, and tables to look at your data

Using logical ideas to conclude outcomes

Verbal Reasoning is meant to assess your English skills by testing areas like vocabulary and meaning.

- Gaining knowledge of the meanings of keywords

It includes the ability to spot grammatical mistakes.

Combining separate sentences into a logical order

- Reading Comprehension: looking at passages, finding connections between text, and examining the mood of the author

HEY THERE!!!

NPAT Question Types:

  • The NPAT includes Quantitative Reasoning (mathematics), Logical Reasoning, and Verbal Reasoning (English).
  • All sections are multiple-choice, with a moderate level of difficulty.

NMIMS M.Pharm + MBA Admission:

  • Applicants who are not GPAT qualified may still apply.
  • Admission requires qualifying NMIMS’s own written test and interview.
  • GPAT is not mandatory.

With a GPAT score of 115, you're eligible to apply for M.Pharm at Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur.

However, admission is unlikely since the score is low and the number of seats is limited.

You can apply, but also consider:

Private colleges with lower cutoffs

Retaking GPAT for better chances.

Scoring 70 in GPAT is good, but eligibility for NIPER JEE 2025 depends on specific criteria set by NIPER. Usually, candidates need a valid GPAT score to apply for NIPER JEE, but the exact cut-off marks or eligibility can change each year. To be sure, you should check the official NIPER JEE 2025 notification or website. They will clearly mention the minimum GPAT score or other requirements for eligibility. So, keep an eye on official updates to confirm your eligibility.

If you're preparing for the GPAT exam and looking for study materials, there are a few helpful ways to get free resources. you won’t always find full textbooks legally available for free, many websites and forums share notes, summaries, and practice questions that are good enough for revision. You can try exploring student communities or pharmacy preparation groups online—sometimes seniors or educators upload helpful PDFs, topic-wise questions, or short guides. You can also check Telegram channels and preparation apps that offer free GPAT material. Just make sure you're using trusted sources so the content is accurate and up to date. reference book from a library or second-hand store can give you a strong advantage.

To score well in GPAT in a short time, focus on high-yield topics, revise standard notes, practice previous year papers, take mock tests regularly, and manage time efficiently. Prioritize understanding over memorization for better retention.
