GPAT Eligibility Criteria 2018 – All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) has released the eligibility criteria of GPAT 2018 on October 18, 2017. For admissions to M. Pharm programmes across various pharmacy institutes in India, students will have to appear and qualify in GPAT 2018. Before applying, they must know and fulfill the prescribed GPAT eligibility criteria 2018. The application form is available from October 18, 2017 onwards in online mode. It is expected that around 30,000 candidates will be appearing for the Pharmacy postgraduate aptitude test. GPAT 2018 score will be accepted by all AICTE approved institutions/university departments and constituent colleges. GPAT 2018 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates shall have to fulfill the following eligibility requirements to be eligible for applying GPAT 2018:
Aspirants willing to appear for GPAT 2018 must be citizens of India.
They must have Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2). This is for lateral entry candidates too.
Candidates in final year of Bachelor’s of Pharmacy programme are also eligible to appear for GPAT 2018.
There is no such age restrictions for GPAT 2018 as per AICTE, the exam conducting body.
Aspirants, who will fulfill eligibility criteria of GPAT 2018, can fill the application form. Application form of GPAT 2018 is available from October 18, 2017. Eligible candidates can register till December 18.

Question- Can a candidate appear for GPAT 2018 for practice purpose even if he/she is not eligible?
Answer- No. Only eligible candidates are allowed to appear for the entrance test.
Question- Who is eligible to appear for the test under Physically Disabled category?
Answer- As per the “Persons with Disability Act, 1995”, a candidate appearing for GPAT 2018 qualifies to be Physically Disabled (PD) if he/she suffers from any of the below listed disabilities, to the extent of not less than 40% as certified by a medical authority. Below mentioned are the categories defined by AICTE for PWD candidates:
Question- If a candidate has done graduation through part-time or distance learning mode, is he/she eligible to apply for GPAT 2018?
Answer- Yes, the candidate can apply as long as it is approved by respective statutory bodies.
Question- Will a B. Pharmacy third-year student be eligible for GPAT 2018?
Answer- No, B. Pharmacy third-year students are not eligible to appear in GPAT 2017 examination.
