To appear for the GPAT 2026 examination, candidates must be citizens of India. This means that they should be legally recognised as citizens of India by the government of India. Candidates who are citizens of other countries or do not possess Indian citizenship are not eligible to take the GPAT exam.
As per the GPAT exam eligibility, the authority has not limited the number of attempts for GPAT. There is no age restriction for appearing in the exam. The absence of an age limit in GPAT ensures that individuals of varying age groups have an equal opportunity to pursue a career in pharmacy and gain admission to postgraduate pharmacy programs.
As per the GPAT qualification criteria, candidates cannot sit for the GPAT 2026 examination just after completing their class 12. Candidates willing to take GPAT 2026 must have a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from a recognised university. However, candidates who are in the final year of their degree are also eligible.
Note: The students with B.Tech degree in Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology domains are not eligible for GPAT 2026.

Medical aspirants with locomotor disabilities such as cerebral palsy, leprosy, dwarfism, acid attack victims, and muscular dystrophy are eligible
Candidates with autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability, and mental illness are eligible for GPAT 2026
Candidates having blood disorders such as haemophilia, thalassaemia, or sickle cell disease can apply for GPAT 2026
Candidates with multiple disabilities
Candidates with disabilities caused due to chronic neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis and Parkinsonism are also eligible.
The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) in India for admission to postgraduate pharmacy programs (M.Pharm).
