The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is an all-India entrance exam for pharmacy aspirants. It is a 3-hour long online test taken by over 35,000 candidates every year. GPAT 2019 was conducted all over the country in 58 exam conducting cities. Candidates were required to answer 125 MCQs for a maximum of 500 marks.

1. National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research SAS Nagar
NIPER is the foremost national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences in the country. It has been proclaimed as the 'Institute of National Importance' by the Government of India. NIPER Mohali opens admissions to various PG courses like M.Pharma, M.E/ M.Tech, M.B.A, etc. along with Ph.D. As per the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2018, NIPER Mohali holds the top spot among Pharmacy institutes in India.
Eligibility and Qualifying Exam: Candidates who score at least 60% marks or 6.75 CGPA can appear for the GPAT or NIPER Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) which will be the screening process for finalised candidates.
For GPAT, Pharmacy aspirants can submit the online application form till the first week of December 2019 tentatively. Similar to NEET, the GPAT application form will also require the basic, contact, address, education details along with uploading of some important documents. The GPAT application fee is Rs. 1400 for a General/ Non-creamy layer OBC male and Rs. 700 for the rest.

GPAT is an online exam which is conducted once a year for M.Pharmacy aspirants all over the country. Candidates are required to answer 125 MCQs for 500 marks within the time duration of 3 hours. Like NEET, there will be negative marking as 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect response.
NIPER JEE Exam Pattern: NIPER JEE 2019 will be conducted online for 2 hours. Examinees will have to answer 200 MCQs which will be in English medium. There will be negative marking for wrong responses.

Pharma aspirants need to appear for NEET whereas M. Pharm candidates must appear for GPAT. 3. Panjab University, Chandigarh
Established in 1882, Panjab University has been accredited with a CGPA of 3.35 on a 4-point scale at A Grade valid for a period of 5 years from 25/06/2015. Panjab University offers B.Pharma and M.Pharma degree courses along with other UG and PG programs.
For B.Pharmacy, PU admits students according to their performance in Panjab University Undergraduate Common Entrance Test (PU CET) while M.Pharmacy admissions are provided as per GPAT scores.
The online PU CET application form will be available till the first week of April every year tentatively. The PU CET application fee is Rs. 2100 for General and OBC candidates whereas other reserved categories have to pay varying amounts of the fee.
PU CET is conducted offline for 3 and a half hours. Candidates are required to answer objective questions of 1 mark each. An incorrect response deducts 0.25 mark each.

4. Jadavpur University, Kolkata
Founded in 1955, Jadavpur Univerity ranks 10th among universities according to Careers360’s ranking methodology. It opens admissions to a number of courses including B.Pharma and M.Pharma.
B.Pharma candidates can get admission as per their WBJEE scores whereas M.Pharma admissions are provided according to the candidates’ GPAT ranks.
The online application form of WBJEE will be available tentatively till the third week of January every year. Candidates will be required to register and provide their important details as well as some mandatory documents. The WBJEE application fee is Rs. 500 which can be paid online or offline.
WBJEE consists of 2 papers: Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry). For pharmacy, candidates can appear for Paper 2 only. Examinees are to complete both the papers in 120 minutes each. Marking scheme varies for different categories of questions. However, there will be negative marking for wrong answers.
5. Dr Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar
Formerly known as Sagar University or the University of Saugor, Dr Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya is a Central University in the city of Sagar (Madhya Pradesh). It is accredited by NAAC A (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) which is valid till June 24, 2020. The college conducts a UGET for admission in B.Pharma and considers GPAT scores for M.Pharma.
