is gpat exam based on pci syllabus?? and does it change every year

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 29th Apr, 2021

hi,

Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is a National Level Entrance Examination for admission into M. Pharma Programme. However, upto 2018, the GPAT was conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).  NTA is conducting the Test since 2019. however Gpat score is accepted The GPAT Score is accepted by all AICTE/Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) approved / affiliated University Departments / Constituent / Affiliated Colleges / Institutions. so the syllabus of gpat has similarity with pci and university pharmacy course. The appropriate time to start preparation of GPAT isd third year of pharmacy course.

why everyone is not able to crack gpat as, emacet, pgset the exams is just, test the knowledge why everyone cant crack whats the fault on!

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 24th Apr, 2021

hi,

GPAT score is accepted in most of the institute in india, including the  tier 1 institute. where eamcet, pgcet state wise entrance test and questions level are easier compare to Gpat. also based on students review gpat questions are a bit conceptual and you can not make correct answer just following the semester exam type questions. you have to practice the questions of previous year to gain understanding of the level of papers.

so I suggest to start preparing while you are in third year of your bachelor of pharmacy program, take a print  out of syllabus, make a separate time for gpat exam preparation apart from your college course.

hope you understand.

Sharon Rose Student Expert 16th Apr, 2021

Hello,

GPAT score is valid for three years from the date of GPAT result declaration. You shouldn't have used the GPAT score before to seek admission in a college. You must have qualified in GPAT only then you can use the previous year GPAT score to get admission in 2021. You must fulfill the NIPER 2021 eligibility criteria  and it is as follows a candidate must have passed B.Pharm from a recognized board. Candidates belonging to general category must score minimum 60% aggregate marks or 6.75 CGPA on a 10 point scale, for SC/ST category candidates it is minimum 55% aggregate marks or 6.25 CGPA on a 10 point scale and for PWD category candidates it is minimum 50% aggregate marks or 5.75 CGPA  on a 10 point scale. Iam a gpat(pharmacy) qualified student under bc reservation . .In state we have bc reservation, but in central list they recently removed our category from OBC.In gpat application form I kept as OBC ,but in NIPER JEE application form .Which category should i keep????Pls answer sir as soon as possible

Nikita 28th Aug, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

If you belong to OBC caste, then you must fill your caste as OBC in the application form. If in case you do not feel your category as OBC then you will be treated under general category so you must ensure that you fill your category as OBC only. Some application form write it as BC but it is same as OBC. So don't get confused with both the terms.

Iam belongs to Veeeashaiva lingayat caste from telangana. In state we have BC-D reservation,in central list our caste is removed recently from OBC Category.I have qualified in gpat sir.so iam eligible to apply ebc certificate sir??.pls reply sir.

Sohamsengupta8 14th Apr, 2021

Hello Student

The candidate whose family income is  less than 2.50 lacs per annum and does not belong to any reservation category like SC ST OB can apply for EBC certificate economically backward caste certificate. Only two child from this family can  avail of this benefit.

The EBC student who doesn't have a gap of more than two years of studies are eligible for ebc scholarship means economically backward class scholarships.

As your category B C d has been removed from Central list then you can apply for ebc certificate for getting scholarship and economic advantages from the college authority for your education after fulfilling above mentioned all the conditions.

Hope this help.

Iam belongs to Veerashaiva lingayat caste in state level ,we have BC-D reseravation. In central list they have recently removed .I have qualified in gpat under obc reservation.can i eligible to apply EBC certificate for further studies(m.pharm).

anirudha vats 14th Apr, 2021

Hey,

You don't have to worry. As far as you have your category certificate with you I don't think you might face any problem.. If your BC-D category ahs been removed from the central list and you have the provision of getting your OBC certificate made then I believe you can get the benefit of reservation everywhere where it's given.

You must have a valid OBC certificate before applying anywhere under the OBC category.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.
