Hello Shreyas,

With a KCET rank of 78,000 under the SC category, getting a free seat for B.Pharmacy is unlikely in top government colleges in Karnataka, as their cutoff ranks for SC category are usually much lower (better rank).

Key points:

  • Government colleges generally have closing ranks for SC category well below 20,000 for B.Pharmacy seats.

  • With a rank of 78,000, chances of free government seats are very low.

  • You may get admission in private colleges or aided colleges where fees may be higher.

  • Some private colleges also offer scholarships or fee concessions for reserved categories, which you can explore.

  • It is advisable to check the official KCET counseling seat matrix and cutoff details for the current year during counseling.

In summary, with a rank of 78,000 under SC, free government seats in B.Pharmacy are unlikely. Consider private colleges or other options with financial support.

I would recommend you to use KCET College Predictor Tool by Careers360 to get the list of possible colleges you can get with your rank.

Hello there,

With an EAPCET rank of 15,835 in Agriculture and Pharmacy, getting a free (fully waived) seat in minority colleges in Hyderabad for B.Pharm is difficult but some options may be available with low fees or scholarships.

  • Minority colleges sometimes offer scholarships or fee concessions based on merit or category.

  • Complete fee waiver seats are rare and highly competitive.

  • You should apply to minority colleges participating in EAPCET counselling and inquire about scholarship options.

  • Also check if you qualify for any government or private scholarships to reduce your fees.

  • Keep backup options open in private colleges with reasonable fees or through management quota if applicable.

Actively participate in counselling, apply for scholarships, and contact colleges directly for fee concession details.

If you are wanting to apply to B.Pharmacy at BITS Pilani, then it is not suitable to use the regular merit for your percentage of 71.6% in CBSE Class 12 (2025) since BITS gives importance to BITSAT scores and does not have a look at board marks for admission. But to apply for B.Pharmacy at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad, or Goa, the BITSAT exam is the only deciding criteria, and your percentage does come into play for determining eligibility. You need 75% in the PCM / PCB group and you need at least a 60% in each subject for your BITSAT eligibility.

Now, since your overall is road mapped to 71.6% you would need the eligibility requirement for subject counts and you would also need a good score in BITSAT for a chance. It is suggested that you appear for the examination and target towards a competitive score.

With a TS EAPCET rank of 5676, getting B.Pharmacy at JNTU Hyderabad main campus is not possible as it doesn't offer B.Pharmacy.

You can try:

JNTUH-affiliated colleges

Private pharmacy colleges with higher closing ranks

Hello,

Yes, you can apply for B. Pharm at Dr. D.Y. Patil with 58% in 12th, as you meet the minimum marks required.

But to get admission, you must have appeared and scored a non-zero mark in MHT-CET or NEET exam. Without these scores, you won’t be eligible through the regular admission process.

Some colleges might offer direct admission without these exams, but it depends on the college rules. So, it’s better to contact the college directly to check if that’s possible.

In short, 58% is okay for marks, but CET or NEET score is needed for admission.

Hope it helps !
