About: Rungta Educational Foundation was established in the year 1999 with its first college, RCET located in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, India. Rungta Educational Foundation has colleges and institutes offering courses in several fields such as engineering, sciences, management and business administration, computer application and IT and arts, humanities and social sciences, and pharmacy. Rungta Educational Foundation has been ranked among the top educational institutions in India in the "Most Preferred Destinations" for professional education at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Rungta College offers several courses in different disciplines.

Q. Tell us something about yourself such as from which place are you from?

A: My name is Mohak Verma and I am from Bhilai.

Q. Presently which course are you pursuing and in which year are you?

A: I am pursuing B.Pharm (Semester II) from the Rungta Educational Foundation.

Q. Did you face any difficulty in the initial months when you joined the Rungta Educational Foundation?

A: I was a little homesick, but gradually settled down with the supportive friends, faculty and staff.

Q. What activities are offered in Rungta Educational Foundation? Are there any clubs etc for the various extracurricular activities? Which ones have you taken up and are a part of?

A: Apart from academics and training activities, RCET has a range of sports and cultural activities for us to indulge in. Starting from facilities for sports like Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Football, Badminton, Table Tennis and a fully equipped gym, we also have 16 up-and-kicking cultural clubs that together provide us with the right balance in student life.

Q. Describe a typical day at Rungta Educational Foundation - what do you do from the time you wake up till you go to sleep?

A: My day at Rungta Educational Foundation begins early preparing for lectures along with classmates. It progresses with us attending lectures and practical sessions led by faculty members. At noon break, we gather at the cafeteria/ mess for refreshments and socialising, fostering a sense of community among peers. After lunch we proceed into further lectures/ practicals until the evening break.

During the evening break, I indulge in some sports, entertainment, market hopping, etc. and return to my room before dinner. Subsequently, I freshen up and go to cafeteria/ mess with friends for dinner and come back to my room. I then revise the lectures taught during the day or prepare for the next day (project/ assignment) before going to sleep.

Q. Tell us about the faculty-student ratio here and about the teacher-student relationship in your understanding.

A: At RCET, the faculty-student ratio is designed to ensure personalised attention and support. Typically, this ratio allows for close interaction between students and faculty, fostering a strong teacher-student relationship. Faculty members are not only educators but also mentors who are deeply invested in their students' intellectual and personal growth. They encourage open communication, academic curiosity, and provide guidance both inside and outside the classroom. Q. How do you spend your leisure time at the Rungta Educational Foundation campus?

A: During my leisure time on campus, I enjoy a variety of activities depending on my mood and interests:

  • Reading: I often visit the library to explore books, journals, or even fiction for relaxation.

  • Socialising: I like to hang out with friends in the cafeteria or common areas, catching up and discussing various topics.

If you're looking for a way for students to express their grievances or concerns and the management is open to student feedback and taking the necessary action. There are various cells with key position holders heading them, who ensure that no voice goes unheard.
