Pharmacy or B. Pharm is an undergraduate program in pharmacy which students can pursue after 12th. Students who wish to be in the medical field without becoming a doctor can opt for a Bachelor of Pharmacy. This is a 4-year course, and the career options are huge after completing this course. Students can go for M. Pharm or they can search for various jobs such as Drug Inspector, Scientific Writer, Clinical Research Associate, Hospital Pharmacist, Chemist, Medical Representative, etc. Pharmacy students study subjects like Human Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Inorganic Chemistry, and many more during the course of their education.
In order to be admitted to a variety of top Pharmacy programmes, students may be needed to take admission exams. Some of the most typical admission exams for pharmacy programmes are as follows:
Students need to pass their 10+2 from any recognized university in the science stream. They should have Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology as their core paper in 12th class. Minimum 50 % marks are required in the qualifying examination. Students from D. Pharma can also apply. Students need to appear for a National and State level Pharmacy Entrance Exam. Some of the National and State level exams are GPAT 2021, TS EAMCET 2021, AP EAMCET 2021, BCECE 2021, WBJEE 2021 etc. Apart from this some institutions offer direct admission on the basis of 12th score/Cut-off marks and merit list without any entrance examination. Some of the documents required for B. Pharmacy are class 10th and 12th Mark Sheets/ Certificate, School Transfer Certificate, Entrance Exam Score, Community Certificate, Passport Size Photographs. Minimum age required is 17 years in order to pursue this course.

Direct Admissions can be done only in Private Colleges/Universities. There are special seats called ‘Management Quota’ through which students can take direct admissions. Some important documents are required in order to apply for this seat. A minimum eligibility mark in class 12th is required for direct admission. Pharmacy Direct Admissions are also open for the students of Lateral Entry and for the students of first year those who secured aggregate marks in Diploma in Pharmacy/Distinction marks in Central and State board exams in 2020 or 2021. Another procedure for direct admission is an entrance-based exam conducted by respective college authorities. Students should qualify the test or PI/Counseling for direct admission.
