What is Bachelor of Pharmacy?
Bachelor of Pharmacy, popularly known as B. Pharm, is a 4-year long undergraduate programme in the field of Pharmacy which deals with health and chemical science. B. Pharmacy course involves a crucial study of medicines/ drugs, including its uses and effects/ side-effects.
B. Pharmacy in Maharashtra
Pharmacy aspirants in Maharashtra have a wide range of reputed institutes offering B. Pharmacy. Some top institutes of Maharashtra like the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, provide B. Pharmacy admission on the basis of Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) score. Thus, it is essential for B. Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET)
The State Common Entrance Test Cell of Maharashtra will conduct the MHT CET for admission for B. Pharmacy in Maharashtra in the first half of May 2019 tentatively. The MHT CET application form has been released in online mode and B. Pharmacy aspirants can apply till March 31, 2019. Thereafter, late applications will be accepted with an additional fee of Rs. 500. Candidates will have to bring their MHT CET admit card to the exam hall which will be available in the last week of April 2019 tentatively. MHT CET will be conducted online for a duration of 1 hour 30 minutes wherein examinees will be required to answer MCQs on physics and chemistry (Paper 2) and mathematics (Paper 1)/ botany and zoology (Paper 3). The MHT CET result is expected to release by the first week of June 2019.
Who can apply for MHT CET?
Pharmacy aspirants should ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria of MHT CET before applying for the same. The MHT CET eligibility criteria are as follows:
Minimum educational qualification
Must have passed class 12 (with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) or any equivalent exam from a recognised board.
50% overall for general category candidates
45% overall for SC/ ST/ OBC category candidates
How to apply for MHT CET?
Candidates can fill the online application form of MHT CET till March 31, 2019, without late fee. Any submission of MHT CET application form after the last date will be accepted with a late fee of Rs. 500. Check the steps below to know how to fill the application form of MHT CET:
Candidates will have to either submit their personal, contact, academic, bank details, etc. manually or register via Aadhaar.
A password will be generated which must be noted and remembered for future logins.
Fill the necessary details required on the online form.
Upload scanned copies of a recent, passport size photograph and signature. Both the files must be in JPG/ JPEG format while the file size must not exceed 50 KB for each.
Pay the application fee via credit card/ debit card (RuPay/ Visa/ MasterCard/ Maestro), net banking, IMPS, cash cards/ mobile wallets, bank challan.
After submitting the MHT CET application form, download and print out the completed form for future reference.

MHT CET Admit Card
The conducting body will release the online admit card of MHT CET in the fourth week of April 2019. The MHT CET admit card will contain the examinee’s name, roll number, application ID, DOB, subjects opted for, medium of question paper, parents’ names, exam date and time, exam centre location, important instructions, etc. Candidates will also have to carry an original photo ID proof along with their MHT CET hall ticket.

MHT CET Syllabus
Since 20% weightage is given to class XI syllabus, it is essential for candidates to know the topics which will be tested. From the class XII syllabus, candidates must focus on all the topics as a whole. Some of the class XI topics which are included in the MHT CET syllabus are as follows:

MHT CET Answer Key
The answer key of MHT CET is expected to be released by DTE Maharashtra in the last week of May 2019. By checking the MHT CET answer key, candidates can know the correct answer and calculate their probable score. Those who want to challenge the answer key of MHT CET, they can do so within the stipulated time period.
MHT CET Result 2019
The authorities will most likely release the result of MHT CET by the first week of June 2019. Only those candidates who appear for the MHT CET for Pharmacy will be able to access the result in online mode. The MHT CET result will be available in the form of a scorecard which needs to be printed out and preserved till the admission process is over.
MHT CET Merit List
By the third week of June, the merit list of MHT CET is expected to be declared in online mode. Candidates will be able to view the MHT CET merit list by submitting their application ID and DoB. According to the merit list of MHT CET, candidates will be called for counselling.
MHT CET Counselling
The counselling process of MHT CET will commence by the first week of June 2019 tentatively. MHT CET counselling consists of three rounds and some additional rounds in case of vacant seats. Candidates who score higher according to the merit list will be given preference over lower ranks. Firstly, the shortlisted candidates need to register and then pay the fee to participate in the counselling of MHT CET.
